LPR - License Plate Recognition

License Plate Recognition (LPR/ANPR) is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates to create vehicle location data. It can automatically recognize vehicle license plate’s number and other related information using the technology of license plate position tracking, character segmentation and character recognition.

Automatic Recognition and Actions

Milesight LPR/ANPR is embedded in Milesight Network Cameras. It automatically detects and captures license plates in real time and compares to a predefined list, then takes appropriate action such as generating an alert if the license plate is on the predefined blacklist.

Leading Edge H.265+ Compression

H.265+ is the latest version of the H.265 compression format. It uses 70% to 80% less bandwidth than H.264. Compared to H.264, H.265+ has the following benefits: Up to 80% reduction in bandwidth for images at the same resolution. Up to 80% reduction in storage for images at the same resolution. Up to 80% reduction in bit rate for the same visual quality. Future proof for 4K UHD and 8K UHD.

12x Optical Zoom

The 12x Optical Zoom can zoom in to distant subjects while still maintaining the clarity, delivering high quality video over the entire image.

3rd Generation Dot Matrix IR LEDs

In order to provide superior night visibility, Milesight 12x H.265+ AF Motorized Pro Bullet Network Camera employs the 3rd generation dot matrix IR LEDs, essentially guaranteeing excellent image quality, long lifespan and energy efficiency.

Smart IR II Technology

The IR LEDs technology has been upgraded to provide videos with a viewing range of up to 120m. Six LEDs on the top work as High Beam, while the other two on the bottom as Low Beam for better image clarity and quality regardless of the object distance. Also, the Low Beam and High Beam’s brightness can be adjusted manually or automatically on the basis of the zoom ratio.

PTFE Membrane

Applying the PTFE membrane to ventilation holes, the 12x H.265+ AF Motorized Pro Bullet Network Camera housing is designed to keep moisture and dust out while allowing air to flow into and out of the device, which effectively ensures pressure equalization in the enclosures and prevents fogging and a buildup of condensation of the lenses, guaranteeing supreme image clarity.

120dB Super WDR

Milesight’s sensor-based WDR technology allows the 12x H.265+ AF Motorized Pro Bullet Network Camera to record greater scene details with true color reproduction even under the extreme back light and high contrast conditions. The ratio that the brightest light signal values divided by the darkest light signal values is up to 120dB.

0.002Lux Ultra Low-light

The 12x H.265+ AF Motorized Pro Bullet Network Camera is able to deliver highly detailed color images even in low light environments. Levels as low as 0.002 Lux (Color) or 0 Lux (B/W) are possible without any supplementary lighting.
